Quick to crystallise, this honey has a beautiful yellow colour in its crystallised state. The crystals formed are large.

It has a pleasant taste, is more acidic compared to other types of honey and has a strong colouring effect. It is rich in minerals and vitamin E.

It has a beneficial effect on the respiratory and excretory systems as well as in terms of treating colds. It can also be used effectively to treat catarrhal diseases. It helps cure diseases of the urinary tract and lowers high cholesterol levels, but is not recommended for those suffering from acid reflux. Sunflower honey is perhaps the best for baking and cooking.
